Painting is my constant torment. It’s like living with an unrequited love. It’s my passion, my heartache, my drug of choice - it’s all consuming. I’m not at peace in my studio - I’m immersed and drowning in memories that are connected to deep emotions and not just the joyful happy ones. I find the saddest memories evoke the deepest emotions, and in turn creates the most beautiful paintings.
